S22 Insurance
Short-term medical insurance provided for language course students, university preparatory students, undergraduate students, and doctoral students.
S22 insurance is the short-term special version of Care College student insurance. It is specifically designed by Care Concept company to meet the short-term insurance needs of language course students and doctoral students under the age of 35. S22 insurance is more affordable and practical. For eligible general medical expenses, there is no limit to the insurance coverage; you can claim as much as needed. The maximum coverage period is 1 year, and the insurance contract not only includes all services of Care College insurance, such as Krankenversicherung (medical insurance), but also includes Haftpflichtversicherung (third-party liability insurance). The monthly premium is only 29 euros!
S22 Insurance suits :
- "German language course students and university preparatory students in Germany."
- Doctoral students, exchange scholars, exchange students, or scholarship recipients under the age of 35
- Postdoctoral fellows under the age of 35 who have received scholarships
S22 insurance can be insured for up to 1 year. If your stay in Germany exceeds 1 year, you can contact us to transfer to Care College student insurance for continued coverage.
Note: This insurance needs to be applied for within 30 days before or after entering Germany. If you have already entered Germany for more than 30 days, you can still apply for our Care College insurance.
Non-scholarship postdoctoral fellows do not meet the entry requirements for S22 insurance and can only apply for Care Economy insurance.
If you plan to stay in Germany for more than 1 year, such as pursuing a doctoral degree, we recommend you choose S14 insurance, which can be insured for up to 5 years.
According to the requirements of German universities, all German university students under the age of 30 must join the German public health insurance. We recommend the German Barmer health insurance. For details, please refer to the introduction of German Barmer public health insurance.
How to apply for S22 insurance?
You can apply for this insurance directly online. Upon successful application, you will receive your insurance documents via email within approximately one day.
1. Print the electronic policy in PDF format, which can be used for visa application.
2. If payment has not been made, please notify us of your address in Germany and bank account information as soon as you arrive in Germany, so that we can send you the follow-up documents for the insurance.
3. If you purchase this insurance for a language course and need to register for public health insurance after passing the language course exam, you can contact us directly to arrange for German public health insurance.

FAQ
FAQ about S22 Insurance
Once your application is approved, you will receive an insurance confirmation letter via email. All German embassies, language schools, universities, and technical colleges recognize the medical insurance certificate issued by us.
The insurance premium can be paid monthly, and the payment must be received by the first day of each month. Alternatively, annual payment is also accepted; please complete the payment at the beginning of each insurance year. If you are newly arrived in Germany, please pay at least the first month’s premium before the insurance starts; otherwise, the insurance will not be effective.
You can make payment via bank transfer or through a German bank account. We recommend providing a German bank transfer account IBAN, so the premium can be automatically deducted every month. Detailed payment and transfer information can be found in the policy and insurance contract.
“The contract does not have a minimum insurance period, and it will terminate at the latest upon expiration of the one-year insurance period.
The contract can be canceled at the end of each month. Please notify the insurance company by letter or email, and the cancellation request must be received by the insurance company at least 15 days before the end of the month.
If canceling the contract by email, please send the email to vertrag@care-college.de and include the following information in the email:

– Type of contract
– Contract termination date”
Yes, it’s possible. If the maximum coverage period for S22 is 1 year and it is about to expire, we can assist you in switching to Care College insurance. After switching to Care College insurance, billing will be based on the new insurance contract and pricing.
